Where we’ve been – and where we’re going…
| –1970’s– | The idea is first proposed by Dr. Viktor E. Frankl in his landmark book Man’s Search for Meaning. | |
| –1997– | Artist Gary Lee Price is commissioned to design the "Statue of Responsibility" monument. | |
| –2000– | Artist continues work on 13 foot clay prototype. | |
| –2004– | 501(c)(3) non-profit corporate structure is put into place. Organizational work begins. | |
| –2004– | Foundation delegation visits Frankl family and Frankl Institute leaders in Vienna. | |
| –2005– | Artists design is formally approved by Board of Trustees. | |
| –2008– | Start-Up Phase officially completed. U.S. Trademarks and Copyright secured. | |
| –2009– | Pre-Launch Phase begins. See document "Past, Present & Future" for project details. | |
| –TBD– | Host city is confirmed and announced; Capital Campaign Phase and national PR campaign begin. | |
| –TBD– | Construction Phase begins. | |
| Note: Actual construction of the monument will take approximately two years to complete once funds are raised and construction and foundry work begins. | ||
