Where we’ve been – and where we’re going…

	–1970’s–	The idea is first proposed by Dr. Viktor E. Frankl in his landmark book Man’s Search for Meaning.
	–1997–	Artist Gary Lee Price is commissioned to design the "Statue of Responsibility" monument.
	–2000–	Artist continues work on 13 foot clay prototype.
	–2004–	501(c)(3) non-profit corporate structure is put into place. Organizational work begins.
	–2004–	Foundation delegation visits Frankl family and Frankl Institute leaders in Vienna.
	–2005–	Artists design is formally approved by Board of Trustees.
	–2008–	Start-Up Phase officially completed. U.S. Trademarks and Copyright secured.
	–2009–	Pre-Launch Phase begins. See document "Past, Present & Future" for project details.
	–TBD–	Host city is confirmed and announced; Capital Campaign Phase and national PR campaign begin.
	–TBD–	Construction Phase begins.
Note: Actual construction of the monument will take approximately two years to complete once funds are raised and construction and foundry work begins.
